Club Info

The Annual General Meeting of Maroochydore Tennis Club will be held on Thursday 17th February 2022 at 7.00p.m. in the clubhouse.  We are always looking for members to join our Committee as new members bring new ideas.  Our monthly meetings are held on 2nd Thursday of the month at 10.30a.m. in the clubhouse.  For further information contact the pro-shop on 54436174.

The Maroochydore Tennis Club is located in Cotton Tree, on the beautiful Sunshine Coast with over 200 members including 45 juniors.

The facilities consist of seven fully floodlit courts (5 hard courts and 2 artificial grass courts).

Resident coach, Kent Mahoney conducts coaching sessions every week day for both juniors and seniors. He is responsible for all the junior fixture teams playing on Saturdays. Kent employs other coaches and also provides a restringing and racquet repair service as well as having a fully stocked pro shop.

Maroochydore Tennis Club has adult teams with various levels of ability playing in Monday night fixtures, Wednesday Ladies fixtures and Friday Ladies fixtures competitions.

Social tennis is popular with sessions available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and Thursday evenings

The facilities are in high demand by the general public and holiday makers looking for a hit on the courts as the club is positioned just one block from the very popular Maroochydore surfing beach.

The 5 hard courts have recently been resurfaced and the lighting and fencing has also been replaced.

The club has completed its replacement and upgrade to the lighting for the entire tennis centre.  The club now has industry standard LED lights over all the courts, including the grass courts.  The old system was unreliable, outdated and costly to run.  We hope you enjoy playing tennis on the new first class courts and under excellent lighting.

We would like to thank the Sunshine Coast Regional Council under the Major Grants Community Facilities and the State Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund for their assistance with funding for the project.  The club also made a significant contribution to the entire project.

The club has undertaken an upgrade to our Solar system.  This has replaced the old irreparable system and will be a valuable asset in reducing the Club’s running expenses.

Local firm Halcol Energy was the supplier and installer and did a great job.  The project was finalised in February 2021.

We would like to thank the Sunshine Coast Regional Council for its assistance with funding for the project under the Emergency Grants 2020/21 program, in conjunction with the club’s own contribution.

The club has this week replaced all the nets on the six doubles courts.  We would like to thank our local councillor Joe Natoli and the Sunshine Coast Regional Council under the Councillor Discretionary Funding Program 2020-21 for their assistance with funding for the project. The club also made a contribution to the project.
